About

Nirvana Outpost Tepee Village is a unique self catering Glamping experience in Curry’s Post, KZN Midlands. You can book out a single Tepee for the weekend, or even book out the entire camp for friends, a family get together, or even work functions and team building events.

Nirvana Outpost is situated on an Alpaca Farm in Curry’s Post, KZN Midlands, South Africa. Tucked away neatly in the old original orchard of the farm, Nirvana Outpost is in the heart of the Midlands Meander. Connected by a network of mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, fresh water fishing and guided horse trails.

We offer accommodation only and do not offer any entertainment.

Popular are all the coffee, eating, dining and wedding venues that surround this extremely sought after vacation destination.

All our Tepee tents are mounted on concrete platforms.

There is a communal Kitchen area with two complete workstations, microwave oven, fridge, 4 plate gas stove, toaster, kettle, cutlery, crockery, double of everything. Just bring your food and refreshments. 2 seperate double bowl washing up sinks just so you can clean up after yourselves.

There is also 2 separate ablution facilities, for male and female. Each sporting two toilets and two showers with hot water.

Central to the camp is a communal fire pit area as well as a wood fired hot tub just to chill in and switch off. Why not hook up one of the hammocks in a tree and let your spirit float away and forget about the life you have just left behind.

Book in and use the camp for a base to explore all that the area has to offer.

A bit of useless information:

  1. the Tepee Village is about 1450 meters above sea level, so just under 1.5km higher than Dbn. This basically puts you just below the clouds.
  2. Summer storms are the most violent and spectacular weather displays you can witness.
  3. Summers are very rainy, misty, stormy, and pleasant.
  4. Winters are extremely dry and cold, so make sure you bring all your warm gear, beanies, gloves, jackets, jerseys, socks, etc. etc.
  5. We generally get a good dosage of snow in the spring months as well, so be prepared.
  6. You will be staying on Endeavour Alpacas farm, need I say more?
  7. There is a wood-fired hot tub too so make sure you bring a good stash of fire wood.
